Yes, well done everyone. it would've been good if we had the same age categories for men and women for the prizes. I know it's the traditional way to do it but quite frankly it's outdated.

That's EA rules isn't it? I'm a Senior at 39, while my 37 year old wife is a vet already.

We discussed changing the windmiler categories for the end of season awards, but instead the decision went to introduce a super vet award for men and women, rather than to increase the internal classification of female vets to over 40s.

My suggestion is to not offer

My suggestion is to not offer prizes. Why pay some 23% of income in prizes rather than lower the cost? The Battersea 10ks are £10 (no prizes), the Wimbledon trail runs are £21 for 3 races and the prizes are about £5 a category.

It's within living memory that the furthest women could run in the Olympics was 3,000 metres. Things have moved on somewhat, thank goodness.

May I say how frustrating it is, not only to not be anywhere near winning my age group, but not even to be the first Peter Collins to finish. Can we put a ban on the younger, fitter, more attractive Peter Collins from club events, please?
